Research title
Decision Theory A logical and philosophical exploration of the classical context and of generalization alternatives
Research abstract

The Normative Theory of Rational Decision is a fertile area for logical and philosophical debates. This research has two goals. The first is to provide a detailed, formalize and explained presentation of the bayesian theory, refered to as classical. The second goal is to deepen and bring alternatives to two central elements of the theory, which are belief and preference. In one chapter the notion of belief as probability is debated, in another the restrictions over preference, in both with detailing of the classical position and alternative constructions and arguments.
