Research abstract
It presents a survey and commentary of the fragments and excerpts in which the bird χαραδριός appears and its relationship with healing. It also presents how the aspects of the bird changed in each genre and period, from the Hipponax fragment, dated to the 6th century BC, to the Latin bestiaries from the 12th to 14th centuries.
