Institutional crisis of neoliberalism: the vicissitudes of neoliberal rationality of government in the light of the contemporary revival of the Austrian school of economics
Research abstract

This project consists, fundamentally, of three research stages. The first aim to present a characterization of neoliberalism as an economic rationality and, at the same time, as an institutional apparatus correlated to this rationality. The second part of the research aims to study the Foucauldian notion of “crisis of governmentality” in order to use it as a key for reading the so-called, “contemporary crisis of liberal democracy.” Finally, the third stage of this research will focus on the contemporary revival, both political and academic, of the Austrian School of Economics, based on the hypothesis that one can find in the thought of these economists signs of a new political rationality emerging today.
