The Limit of Subjective Freedom in Hegel
Research abstract

G.W.F. Hegel presents, in the Encyclopedia of Philosophical Sciences, his philosophy of the Spirit, from the simplest form to its realization in the development of the Spirit and the concept of freedom. In the Psychology section of the mentioned text, the apex of the subjective Spirit is to be free. For the first time, the concept of freedom appears for the spirit. While subjective, freedom is free will - the end of the development of the subjective spirit and the beginning of the objective spirit, ambiguously constituting both. Hegel calls this logical structure limit, where something and its other begin and end. This work investigates the development of freedom in the subjective sphere up to its limit with the objective sphere and the need for its realization beyond subjectivity.
