Our research examines the distinction between science and wisdom in Book XII of Augustine of Hippo's "The Trinity". The general objective is to present the argumentative structure that supports the hypothesis of science as a content associated with the ethical dimension of the mind, but which is also associated with the dianoetic dimension of the mind. Having presented the general objective, the specific objective is to investigate how the ethical and dianoetic functions of the mind are distinguished in the realm of temporal realities from the eternal realities of knowledge. Thus, it will be sought to delimit with research, in which aspect science and wisdom are associated, and in which aspect science and wisdom are distinct for the mind.
