The surreal in Merleau-Ponty: an investigation based on the theme of painting
Research abstract
The aim is to explore the relationship between Merleau-Ponty's philosophy and surrealism. More than pointing out occasional approximations between the two projects, we intend to show the construction of a surreality in the philosopher's project, having as horizon the concept of chiasm and the notion of imaginary texture of the real. The research will be carried out based on the philosopher's texts dedicated to the world of painting.
