Research title
FROM BEING AS FIRST CONCEIVED TO THE SUBJECT OF METAPHYSICS ACCORDING TO THOMAS AQUINAS
Research abstract

This work proposes a study on the relationship between being as first conceived by the intellect (ens primum cognitum) and the discovery of the subject of metaphysics (ens commune) in Thomas Aquinas, taking into account the debate between the scholars: Gilson, Maritain, Fabro and Aertsen. The main point of our work is the significance of this first apprehension of being and the passage to the subject of metaphysics with regard to the debate between the scholars. To this end, we propose a critical reading of the approaches and divergences of these authors from Thomas' work.
