Research title
Precision and Inventiveness: Leo Spitzer's Critical Method and Romanticism
Research abstract
At this stage of the research, having already completed the coursework, we aim to understand the influence of Schleiermacher's hermeneutics on Leo Spitzer's criticism, as well as the role that the German Romantic tradition of cultural history plays in his thought. To develop these topics, we have proposed a BEPE project to FAPESP, which is still under evaluation. If approved, it will be carried out at CRP19 (SN-Paris 3) next year (March-August/September). Simultaneously, we are working on translation of a methodological text by Leo Spitzer.
