Research title
The Completness of Kant's Table of Judgments
Research abstract

This dissertation aims to analyze Kant's claims about the completeness of the table of judgments in the Critique of Pure Reason and the Prolegomena. Based on a preliminary analysis of the concept of "completeness" (Vollständigkeit), the work is structured around three interconnected criteria: 1) the criterion of unity, which explores the existence of a common principle grounding the table; 2) the criterion of division, which investigates how judgments are organized into categories; 3) the criterion of accuracy, which questions whether the table contains all the principles of understanding without omissions or excesses. The research expands the discussion on these criteria, examining both Kantian and secondary literature. The first chapter discusses the nature of the table of judgments, while the second chapter addresses the criterion of unity, focusing on two possible explanations: transcendental apperception and the power of judgment. The third chapter explores the criterion of division, with an emphasis on the categories, and the fourth chapter deals with the criterion of accuracy, including controversies on singular and infinite judgments.
