Research title
The Non-Logical Difference: Dialectics in the Intellectual Experience of Georges Bataille
Research abstract

The research aims to investigate the place of dialectics in Bataille's intellectual experience. It shows how a reading of the dialectical, non-dialectical, or even post-dialectical status of his philosophical experience would be more productively placed by the potential of a dialectical analysis for understanding its modes of emergence in the 20th century. After the orientation process, which pointed out the need for a larger scope of the research, given the risk of falling into what was already a great digression in relation to the initial objective, the chosen strategy was to make the methodological assumptions more solid. It became clear that negative dialectics and its status should be seen, through the choice of a dialectical critique, as its main orientation. Since a certain mediation was required, since the mediation that usually guides the analytical tradition and its comparative method was seen as insufficient, Peter Bürguer, in his book "Das Denken des Herrn: Bataille zwischen Hegel und dem Surrealismus", took a large part of a certain critical reading that sought, from the rearrangement and treatment in the same critical way of his Adornian and Benjaminian influences.
