Research title
Questions, mistakes and potentialities of Althusserian reflection
Research abstract

This is research into the historical basis of Althusser's questions, his claims regarding his references and the mistakes in his attempts to formulate a response to emerging questions in the context of the 1960s. This research is based on critical of Faust that there is a distance between what Althusser aims at theoretically and what he develops, our object being the discussion about this contradiction and the possibilities of reflection that open up despite it. In the first chapter, we argue that the reasons that lead Althusser to formulate his questions are a certain relationship of overdetermination of the Marxist political field at the time over the theoretical debate that preceded it, reconstructed by us based on the analysis of the official Stalinist doctrine and History and Consciousness class. In the second chapter, we then analyze Althusser's intentions regarding historical epistemology, seeking to understand the relationships between his reflection and this field of discussion. Finally, in a critical movement, we return to Althuser's theorization through Ruy Fausto's comments, seeking to situate his questions based on a rigorous analysis of Marx's work.
