Research title
BETWEEN THE DISCURSIVE AND THE NON-DISCURSIVE: AN INCURSION INTO MICHEL FOUCAULT AND JUDITH BUTLER
Research abstract
The general objective of this project is to investigate the relations between the domains of the discursive and the non-discursive in the works of Michel Foucault and Judith Butler, considering the criticisms frequently received by these authors according to which they would reduce everything to discursivity, which seems quite mistaken to us. The intention of this project, in this sense, is to demonstrate how the domain of the non-discursive interferes in various ways with the domain of discourse, and vice-versa, through different practices that traverse the entire social body, highlighting the ethical and political importance of understanding such processes.
