A MODEL OF CRITICISM OF THE PHILOSOPHIES OF REFLECTION IN THE FIRST HEGEL OF JENA AND HIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE MCDOWELLIAN PROPOSAL OF THE INEXTRICABILITY BETWEEN UNDERSTANDING AND SENSIBILITY
Research abstract

This research project aims to investigate a critical model adopted by Hegel in his writings from Jena between 1801 and 1803, incorporating its results into problems that fall within the scope of the Pittsburgh School, according to the delimitations given by John McDowell. This will be done in two parts. First, I will characterize the Hegelian critical model as consisting of two facets: the first, the dissolution of dualisms; the second, the identification of speculative moments in philosophies that carry dualisms. This model will be distinguished through Hegel's reading of the philosophies of reflection. Secondly, I will turn to McDowell's philosophical therapy, showing that this procedure is also based on a double face: dissolving dualisms and highlighting legitimate philosophical motivations. From this parallel, I will indicate another consequence: having the inextricability between understanding and sensibility at the center of philosophical concerns. Thus, I will conclude that the critical Hegel of the early Jena writings offers, through his notion of "originary identity", a theoretical support for approaching the relationship between understanding and sensibility in the post-S
