Continuing our Master's research, this project aims to reflect, firstly, on the Adornian concept of metaphysics. At the same time, it will try to establish a link between this concept and a reflection on historicity in Adorno's thought. At first glance, an idea of metaphysics would exclude any historical theorizing outside the fatalist-idealist, or even Marxist, model, in which history is thought of as a progress towards the consciousness of freedom. For Adorno, however, this model has failed, so we need to reflect on what, having been overcome, must be saved in its truth content by the elaboration of a new writing of history that must take into account the individual, sensitive and transitory elements left by the traces of a civilization that has self-imploded.
