The project aims to clarify the connection between the conceptions of a work of art, thought and meaning, all of which subjects within Hannah Arendt's philosophical production. In the text The Human Condition (1958), the notion of a work of art is marked by the argument that involves the articulation between the manufacturer of the work - homo faber - and his thought giving meaning to the work, making it something unique. However, these notions are not explored in depth in this text, which makes it necessary to analyze the arguments from another text by Arendt: The Life of the Mind (1978). In this text, the author focuses on research involving the notion of thought and, consequently, the notion of meaning. Certain proposed distinctions, such as between thought and knowledge, meaning and cognition, in addition to arguments that deal with the use of metaphor in the manifestation of what is present only in the mind are important formulations in the intended explanation. It is within thought that meaning will be instituted and through the work of art it will be expressed.
