THE LIMIT OF DIALECTIC: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LOGIC AND HISTORY IN THE CRITIQUE OF THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF CAPITAL
Research abstract

This research project analyzes the place of dialectics in the critique of political economy undertaken by Marx in Capital. This is because, since the Grundrisse, Marx intends to import the categorical exposition of Hegel's Science of Logic to carry out the critique of political economy, without, however, falling into the idealism of the Hegelian exposition, something that depended on the introduction of historical analysis. It is considered that Capital seeks to solve this problem through the concept of fetishism (in book I, of merchandise and money and, in the manuscripts of book III, of capital): by highlighting how the economic categories themselves are apparent in capitalist reality ( exchange of equivalents, value, interest-bearing capital, etc.) hide its essence (the quantum of unpaid work in the exchange between labor power and wages), Marx also shows that the economic theories of the physiocrats, Smith and Ricardo are in Some are victims of these appearances, because they often confuse those apparent categories in the circulation of goods with the essential categories of the production process. At the same time, fetishism points to the historical assumption
