FREEDOM AND ANGUISH IN SARTREAN EXISTENTIALISM
Research abstract

This work is focused on the themes of freedom and anguish in Sartrean existentialism. The problem that motivated this study was the need to develop qualitative work that makes it possible to support the understanding of freedom and anguish in existentialism, more specifically, in the light of Sartrean thought. Therefore, we arrive at the following problematic situation: What considerations are presented by Jean-Paul Sartre about freedom and anguish? Its general objective is to investigate the concepts of freedom and anguish in the thought of Jean-Paul Sartre, based on his main philosophical works; and as specific objectives 1) Reflect on the contemporary moment, based on the meanings of freedom and anguish in Sartrean existentialism; and 2) Collate the coincidences and contrasts between data collected on existentialism and the point of view defended by Jean-Paul Sartre. Methodologically, in general, this study will be developed in three parts: 1) bibliographical research; 2) Action research; and 3) Data analysis.
