This research analyzes Moishe Postone's theory of antisemitism within the context of his critique of capitalism, investigating the socio-historical limits of the concept of modern antisemitism, based on Marxian categories such as fetishism, abstract labor, value, and abstract social domination. The aim is to examine the scope of modern antisemitism, as formulated by Postone, and to question whether the rise of National Socialism and the singularity of the Holocaust can be understood without this distinctive concept. Postone defines modern antisemitism as a structural ideology of capitalism, distinct from other forms of prejudice and racism. He views National Socialism and the Holocaust as logical outcomes of this ideology, deducing the uniqueness of the extermination of Jews from the uniqueness of the concept of modern antisemitism. This research will investigate the theoretical foundations of modern antisemitism and its interactions with capitalism, National Socialism, and the Holocaust, connecting these relationships to the political context of Postone's writings.
