HEIDEGGER AND THE ART OF HIS TIME
Research abstract

The aim is to investigate the relationship between Martin Heidegger and the art of his time, seeking in his writings on art a record of the crisis of the concept of 'work' experienced in a civilization determined by technology. Through a genetic reading of his texts, the intention is to reveal the dialogues between his thought and contemporary theories on art. The relationship between Heideggerian thought and modern art is not limited to misinterpretations or excessive criticism, as some of his readers have claimed, but often constitutes the source of his theoretical elaborations, obscured by the apparent archaism of his taste and the methodological return to Greek works and thought.
