From concrete to abstract and from abstract to concrete: An analysis of the relation between the foundations of geometries and knowledge of empirical reality
Research abstract

Since the sistematization of geometry proposed by Euclid, two questions emerged and tried to be answered in history: how can we reach the principles of a geometric theory and how can a geometry be applicable to a concrete world of sensible experiences. From theses questions I try to offer an analysis of the relation beween the foundations of geometry and the knowledge of empirical reality by the description of two movements: one, ascendent, from the concrete - or no-linguistic - to the abstract - or linguistic; and other, descendent, that interpret parts of the reality with the abstract terms of a theory in order to create models that describe the empirical reality.
