Tretyakov: the author as producer
Research abstract
The present work aims to analyze the trajectory and theoretical and artistic production of Sergei Tretyakóv. We will analyze the evolution of cultural and artistic movements in which Tretyakóv was actively active, such as Russian futurism, constructivism, productivism and the work of Proletkult, the People's Commissariat for Education (Narkompros) and the Left Front for the Arts (LEF) . We will also analyze the relationships established between the German and Soviet avant-gardes, mainly Tretyakov's influence on the works of Brecht and Walter Benjamin. Finally, we will analyze two plays by Tretyakov. The first one is Gas Masks and the second one I want a child.
