This research project aims to analyze the crisis of labor and the wage society from the perspective of the implementation of policies and practices linked to the precariousness of labor. The hypothesis is that the labor crisis since the last decades of the 20th century is linked to the production of social pathologies specific to these practices and policies of precariousness, such that the social identity constructed around work is deteriorated and threatened. The objective is to investigate the relationship between this deterioration and crises of various kinds, especially crises that manifest themselves in the realm of politics and democracy. The research proposal, in this sense, also aims to outline the constitutive elements of a social identity linked to labor in its waged form, as well as the conditions that favor its crisis and question its viability, from a perspective of political and social philosophy, incorporating contributions from other fields, especially sociology and political science.
