This work aims to transcribe and translate Jules Vuillemin's recently found manuscript. We believe the manuscript comes from a semester-long course Vuillemin taught at the Departamento de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo in the 1970s. The manuscript was typed in French, has deteriorated parts and handwritten notes and corrections. In the manuscript, Vuillemin criticizes the concept of conditioned reflex when applied to language theories in several authors, such as Russell, Skinner and, especially, Quine.
