Research title
Russell: from idealism to the genesis of the theory of descriptions.
Research abstract

The main objective of the research is to analyze the genesis of the theory of descriptions exposed in the article “On Denoting”, from 1905, having as a starting point Russell’s idealist philosophy. Moreover, we want to consider the problems that led Russell to abandon his theory of denotative concepts in favor of the theory of descriptions. In so doing, we aim to offer a genetic analysis of the development of the theory of the descriptions from the perspective of a set of problems to be found in Russell’s former theories.
