Research title
The concept of "interior" and the constitution of the private ethos in the urban experience of 19th century Paris in Walter Benjamin
Research abstract

Based on the reading of the German philosopher Walter Benjamin our research aims to work his interpretation of the capitalist modernity that finds in the city of Paris in the 19th century an original model for the conception of the modern urban experience. It is necessary to problematize several Benjaminian concepts such as, to name just a few, the concepts of dialectical image, aura, mimesis, Erfahrung and Erlebnis, among others. Although Benjamin's thought is usually divided into a metaphysical-theological and a materialist-historical phase, it is one of the hypothesis of our work that the core of his thought maintains an internal coherence, even though an important part of his thought was written in fragmented way.
