Research title
A filmic analysis of the Jean Rouch´s movie Ordinary Madness of a Cham´s Daughter
Research abstract

It consists into a filmic analysis of Ordinary Madness of a Cham´s Daughter (1987), film by Jean Rouch, to which are added teorethical commentaries that lead to enrich the comprehension of the referred film. One of the questions that appear is the theme about madness in a specific relation among that and other social marginality modalities, such as femininity, blackness and political coloniality. Its also proposed an approach of madness in its relationship with capitalismo, from the point that the contemporary interversion of instrumental reason into mith, according to the frankurtian diagnostic, may contain possibilities of understanding madness not only as the absense of reason, but as an inversion dialetically diferente from the reason, as a residuum not adaptable of reason itself, ressiduum related directly to the inadaptation the mad people to the capitalist productive society. In order to do so, diferente authors are used, for exemple, Canguilhem, Lévi-Strauss, Foucault e Fanon. The common point to these commentaries, to say once more, is the referred film of Rouch, the main influence that made possible this group of reflections.
