The Surreal in Merleau-Ponty: An Investigation Based on the Theme of Painting
Research abstract
This deals with exploring the theme of the imaginary in Merleau-Ponty based on the possibility of its relationship with Breton's Surrealism. More than pointing out specific approximations between the two projects, the aim is to show the construction of a possible surreality in the philosopher's project, having as its horizon the notion of the imaginary texture of the real presented by him. The research is carried out based on the philosopher's texts dedicated to the universe of painting.
