Research title
Recognition and reconciliation: a study on the concept of spirit in Hegel's Phenomenology
Research abstract

The aim of our research is to understand the role of the concept of recognition in the Phenomenology of Spirit in the context of the chapter "spirit", that is, displacing the question of its classical locus, in the chapter " self consciousness". Our objective is to show how this concept would only be realized in the exposition of the figures of the chapter "spirit". That is, on the level of the relationship between "singular" and "universal consciousness", which will be expressed, from the conflict between Antigone and Creon to the conflict between “active” and “judgmental consciousness”, as a conflict between the action of the singular consciousness and the universality crystallized in the institutions, laws and customs of a certain community, of a certain "world of the spirit".
