Research title
Condillac’s method as a symbolical technique
Research abstract

In this research, the historical motivations, conceptual sources and philosophical problems present in Condillac’s metaphysics are described, and portrayed as a “method”. The exposition is oriented around two core concepts: abstraction and system. This method is a metaphysics, and has a general grammar as its model. The relationship established between the general discipline and the particular ones is not a hierarchical one, as it acts as an organizer and articulator between different regions of human knowledge. Human knowledge is considered in its practical sources, be it empirical or experimental, and taken only afterwards in its theoretical results (signical, algorithmic). The practice of the sign, and semiotical concatenations unify this method, which becomes a “symbolical technique”.
