As stated in the project, the work in question deals with the birth of the theory of subject of Alain Badiou, with the publication (in 1982) of Théorie du sujet. The main idea is to explain, through the detailed exposition of this birth, its debt to Lacanian psychoanalysis, thus explaining the singularity of this theory in the panorama of French thought. The initial plan foresaw that, for the period covered by this report, the reading and analysis of Théorie du sujet should be carried out. But, as we shall explain later, a slight change of plans was made in this regard.
