Research title
The Interrelation between Multiple Drafts Model and Predictive Processing for Consciousness studies
Research abstract

As it is an extensively investigated phenomenon, the conceptualization of human consciousness has become multifaceted and full of contradictions and limitations. With this, my proposal involves a change in theoretical assumptions, favouring those that highlight the advantages of deflationary studies and the use of interdisciplinary tools in the elaboration of a description of consciousness. Thus, the objective of this research is to establish the parameters and general contours of a description of consciousness supported by the interrelationship between the Multiple Drafts Model (MDM) and Predictive Processing (PP). Therefore, once what I understand by conscience is clarified, I develop a description of its functioning internally to both, model and framework, pointing out some of its problems and limitations. Subsequently, I point out some of the similarities between them and how their joint use could provide convincing resolutions to their individual problems and limitations. I conclude that the interrelationship between the MDM and the PP strengthens our capacities for a satisfactory description of the phenomenon of consciousness, in addition to enabling its empirical treatment.
