This work, through a historical approach, seeks to shed some light on a philosophical system outside of Eurocentric traditions. To this end, an Indian current of thought was chosen (darana Nyya). In addition to these elements, this work seeks, in a very basic and reduced way, to show what elements Indian philosophy is based on, seeking with this aim, to try to think of a possible study methodology. In this structure (Nyya philosophy) we looked for the elements that could form a philosophy of mind and how the problem of mind - body dualism was work within that structure. Within this proposal some parallels and small comparisons are made including with Cartesian dualism. Thus, this work does not show itself as a ready and complete work, but rather as a platform for further research and studies to be developed, seeking to show that there is a certain universality of human thought, that is, of how people are temporally, geographically and culturally they have the same questions, they develop different methods and mental tools for their resolution and they can sometimes arrive at close results
