The Agony of Lógos: Hegel and the tragic end of dialectics
Research abstract

In this work, we aim to develop an immanent critique of the Hegelian system, following the tracks once informed by prominent interpreters such as Rancière, Lebrun, Ruy Fausto, Adorno, among others. We begin by pointing out that the study of the Hegelian dialectics according to the traditional guidelines provided by academic works already falsifies it beforehand, since it prioritizes content over form, i.e., this kind of approach assumes that Hegel’s argumentation could be bound to inflexible theses, thus neglecting the dialectical movement of the form. In contrast, we resort to a dialectical writing that takes the thesis format to its point of exhaustion, bordering an essayistic frame, through which we expect to do justice to the complexity of Hegelian dialectics by means of an examination that starts from its internal tensions rather than from abstract problems.
