The paradoxology of Lucian of Samosata: translation, notes and study of On True Narratives
Research abstract
The research focuses on monsters in Greco-Roman antiquity, having as its main focus a work by Lucian of Samosata (c. 120-180 AD) called On True Narratives (Ἀληθῶν Διηγημάτων). The work consists of a complete translation of the aforementioned Greek text into Portuguese, plus critical notes and comments. The introductory texts and others that concern the poetic and rhetorical precepts used by the author also complement this study.
